The Dunnock


“Prunella Modularis”





The Dunnock also known as the hedge sparrow inhabits gardens, woodland, hedgerows, and parks.

This small passerine is on the amber listed bird.

It is brown and grey 

It is quiet by nature often seen creeping along nervously.

They eat spiders worms and seeds.

They are 14cm in length with a wingspan of 19 to 21cm and they weigh in at between 19 and 24g.
