The Fieldfare

The fieldfare is a member of the thrush family.It is migratory and comes to the uk in. The winter for berries insects and worms.  It is often spotted in large flocks.

It has a chestnut brown back and yellowy breast and a pale grey rump and head.

They nest in colonies for protection and will aggressively defend the nest.

They are 24 to 26cm in length with a wingspan of 40cm. They weigh in at 100g. They live on average for only 2 years. They are on the red list and are protected.
