The Great Black Backed Gull

This bird is the largest member of the gull family and are between 68 and 78cm long.

They have a wingspan of 150 to 165cm and they weigh in at around 1 to 2kg and have pink legs.

There are 17,000 breeding pairs in the uk.

They live for around 14 years.

They eat shellfish birds and carrion.

​

The Lesser black backed gull has yellow legs.
