The Jackdaw is a passerine of the crow family with black plumage and a distinctive silvery sheen on the back of the head. They have pale eyes 

It nests in chimneys, trees, buildings, rock crevices and tree holes. They eat insects, young birds and eggs, 

fruit, seeds and scraps. 

They measure 34cm in length

 They have a wingspan of 70cm 

and weigh in at 220g.
