The Rook of the Crow family is a sociable bird often see with others as it forages for a wide range of food including grain, nuts, worms, small mammals, insects, 

birds, carrion and eggs

They measure 44 to 46cm in length

They have a wingspan of 80 to 99cm

They weigh in at between280 and 340g

There are over 1,100,000 breeding pairs in the uk.

They can be seen all year round.
