Song Thrush

The Song Thrush is a popular little garden bird with a lovely singing voice.

They measure 23cm in length 

They have a wingspan of 33 to 36cm 

They weigh in at between 65 and 100g

​

They eat fruit, worms, and snails that they smash against rocks. They can be seen all year round 

Their song is repetitive.

They breed between March and June when they lay between 3 and 9 eggs incubated by the female.

They are sky blue with black spots.

The young are fed by both parents.

They stay local to where they are born and 

usually within 1 kilometre.

This species is in decline
