Tufted Duck

“Aythya Fuligula”

The Tufted Duck is a medium sized diving duck.

It has a small crest and a yellow eye and a light blue bill.

They eat plants, insects, and molluscs.

They are 40 to 46cm in length

 They have a wingspan of 66 to 73cm 

They weigh in at between 450 and 995g

They can be seen all year round.

The female lays between 8 and 11 eggs and incubates them herself and is entirely responsible for their care.
